Rana Utvikling will be devoting greater efforts to destination development and tourism in coming years.
Destinations are created from the contact between visitors, tourist companies, tourism bodies and local people. And ensuring a sustainable development of the tourist industry is important for making a positive contribution to the local community concerned. Given the strong expansion now taking place in Norwegian tourism, it will be even more important to guide developments in a desired, market-oriented, profitable and sustainable direction.
Destination development involves systematic efforts to produce tourism products for a particular location. This process occurs in a collaboration between public-sector players and private business. In addition, players from various sectors are often brought in to highlight different aspects of a destination and to make sure that the best solutions are found.
